Pastels, Ruffles, and Star Wars
Happy Thursday everyone! This very sweet newborn session fell on one of the ice days Houston had a few weeks ago. The light was just gorgeous and thawed it out just enough to allow me to get out to this gorgeous family's home! Baby girl was 12 days new for this session and was the best sleeper! It was such a joy capturing the love her momma and dad have for her. During the session I noticed there was a Yoda (from Star Wars...if you have not seen these movies please go do so right away) in the corner of the play room. Inside, there was the most amazing collection of hand sewn finger puppets from the entire cast! Yoda, Darth Vader, Leia, Luke, Chewy, you name it! And to make this find even more special, I learned that baby R's grandma had hand-sewn each and every one! Just incredible! Baby R will have so much fun with these toys, and they fit just perfectly in little baby fingers. Enjoy!
A family of J's
I just finished up this gorgeous maternity session and cannot wait to share it with you all! We were lucky that the day of the session had gorgeous crisp weather with an amazing sunset that gave the best golden hour glow. Her best friend not only did an beautiful job on her makeup, but also hand made that awesome flower crown! It worked so well with both the dresses and really made the colors pop. LOVE! Mama J and Dad J are so excited to welcome baby J next month! I love that they will all have the same initials, it is so cute! You can truly tell two people are just meant to be when you ask them to do things together for the shot, and there is no hesitation, just pure marital bliss. Enjoy!
Pink and Glitter Cake Smash
Whew aren't we all glad that ice storm is over! Houstonians just are not built for winter...haha! To help thaw you out, take a look at these gorgeous images from my most recent cake smash session. Little K is just a doll, and turning ONE soon! Her mama and dad were just so much fun to work with, and these came out so cute! Little K loved her shiny gold shoes the most, then the bath, then the cake...or all 3! The weather worked out as one of the warmest days that week, so we were still able to do the washtub bath at the end. Some of my favorites are of mama and dad kissing her cute cheeks, and in the process getting that frosting everywhere! But hey--turning ONE only happens once!! Enjoy!
Little After Christmas Present
Happy MLK Day everyone! I hope you all are ready and excited for our potential snow day tomorrow! I know I will be keeping my eyes glued to the window as I edit in case I see any snowflakes!
I had the immense pleasure of working with this very sweet family and seeing them transform into a family of 3. We celebrated their pregnancy with a maternity session on a gorgeous bridge, and then I was able to capture their new little one shortly after his arrival at their home. Baby D was so cute and cuddly, I am so in love with these images!! His parents still had the tree up so I was able to get some adorable under the tree moments as well. Their home has the most amazing natural light so these were a dream to capture! Enjoy!!
My Brother My Sister
Rain rain go away...good thing we have sunshine in our future for this weekend! This family session was just a blast!! We got together just after Christmas to have a large family session. These kiddos have got to be some of the happiest and joyful siblings I have ever worked with. They were just so happy--the entire time! No need for silly jokes; their smiles were ear-to-ear! Which is incredible considering the "frigid" temperatures we had that day ;). Grandma and Grandpa definitely have a special bond with these cute grandchildren, and I am so thrilled I was able to capture their family in 2017. Enjoy!!
